Marketing & Communication Manager

Position: Marketing & Communication Manager

Requirements:

Qualifications

University Degree (majoring in either Communications/Journalism/Marketing Management).

Work Experience:

  • Working knowledge of Sales and marketing of theatre productions
  • Events and campaigns
  • Media relations
  • Experience in operating in different cultural environments would be beneficial.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience and hands on experience
  • Proven record of writing skills, proposal development skills will be highly valuable 

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Marketing
  • Improve programme marketability and profitability by researching, identifying and capitalising on market opportunities; effectively promote programmes to increase growth in accordance with Pacofs Marketing Strategy.
  • Direct internal and external marketing presentations to enhance communication and awareness.
  • Planning, developing, implementing and evaluating advertising, merchandising, publicity and trade and promotion programmes.
  • Collect, analyse and present marketing information with management, thus actively participating in decision making.
  • Interact with service providers and ensure alignment to specific marketing strategy.
  • Compliment, synergise and provide information for the trade marketing role of Sales and Marketing.
  • Managing of Pacofs websites to ensure accuracy of information to the public and media.
  • Direct, manage, motivate and develop marketing teams.
  • Plan, determine, manage and ensure cost-effective utilisation of marketing budget.
  • Identification and exploitation of alternative revenue streams.

2. Communications

  • Develop a Centre of Excellence (CoE) in line with Pacofs Strategy. 
  • Formulate a communications strategy and business plan, ensuring it is aligned to the business’ long term objectives.
  • Develop and manage a Communications Strategy that aims to make every employee a brand advocate
  • Strategy that confidently builds relationships with the media and aims to make them brand advocates
  • To monitor brand reputation in all media environments and proactively recommend action needed
  • Negotiate portfolio strategies and implementation plans with key executives, managers and stakeholders.
  • Provides strategic support on communications to segments & business partners.
  • Manage all internal and external communication .
  • Manage Quality and Performance of the Communications function.
  • Responsible for opportunity identification from an internal and external communications perspective
