PACOFS has an outstanding in-house catering service for all social occasions. No group is too big or too small.

Have your reception at the Sand du Plessis Theatre Complex and choose from a wide variety of different venues. Catering is also provided for outdoor functions. 

We specialise in congresses, weddings, seminars and any private functions. A wide variety of menus are available, from a light cocktail menu to a formal plated service.

We have professional, trained technicians for all your sound and lighting needs, all for hire at competitive rates.
 
Theatre Truck Hire Print E-mail

One mobile theatre truck, made available by Transnet, is available for hire to the public at affordable rates. It can be used for

  • various open-air productions,
  • auditions,
  • promotions and
  • meetings.

This truck (horse and trailer) is fitted with a collapsible stage and sound system that can accommodate a crowd of up to 5 000 people. Additional sound can be arranged to accommodate up to 10 000 people.

The following departments fall under Technical Support:

  • Maintenance,
  • Stage Services,
  • Workshops,
  • Security,
  • Wardrobe,
  • Cleaning Services,
  • Transport,
  • Loss Control/Occupational Health and Safety.

These departments manage and maintain the Sand du Plessis Theatre Complex, which includes the André Huguenet Theatre.

Successful theatre management relies strongly on the liaison between all the departments that make up Technical and Support Services. The one cannot function without the other and only by working together closely, can theatre productions be brought to the stage successfully.
 
Workshop Print E-mail
The workshop is situated at stage level to facilitate the easy movement of sets from the workshop to the stage. Workshops for

  • props,
  • painting and
  • woodwork exist.

Accommodation Print E-mail

Six luxurious flats are located at the Elizabeth Street entrance to PACOFS.

The flats are well equipped and include secure parking from 17:00 to 07:00. These flats are all self catering and have

  • double beds,
  • lounges and
  • bathrooms with toilets.
