My Fellow Country Man & Vuka Machel

The story in “Vuka Machel” is centred around two friends who are chicken thieves in the village of Kanyamazane. They always argue about almost everything in this revolutionary comedy. On this particular day their arguments leads to the question 'What if Samora Machel were to wake up only to find his wife married to Mandela and Mozambique is suffering'? What follows is a masterful comedy of error.

Another production that is set to be staged at the same dates with Vuka Mashele  is My Fellow Country Man.

My fellow country man is a journey full of emotions, humor and yet informative. It follows a story of two men who went to exile during Apartheid times to fight for the liberation of South Africa and now are fighting for the only remaining one way ticket back home to their mother land.(Cde Specific performed by Moses “ Tamos” Lechuti our very own Legendary Free State Spirit of theatre & Kakakgale Performed by Mlungisi “ Mlu”Tshobeka one of the best actors in FS has produced). Land, equity, religion, opportunities & unjust laws/ processes used during the call for comrades to abandon arm struggle remain the biggest question to date.

Written and directed by Pesa Pheko
